Visconti re-imagined the colors, textures and appeal of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings to produce the stunning Impressionist series. Through painstaking trial and error, Visconti was able to recreate the colors from the painter’s palette to represent some of his most beloved artworks. Each pen represents one of Van Gogh’s paintings and is one of a kind – the depth of the vegetal resin is enhanced by an 18-sided faceted barrel. Shown here is Wheatfield with Crows, popular for its natural, outdoor setting in intense blues and yellows. The series is presented in a special edition box with the painting printed on the lid; the fountain pen comes with a matching bottle of ink. Every Van Gogh is engraved with the name of its painting and the artist on the palladium or gold-plated band. In fountain pen with steel nib, twist ball pen or capped rollerball.
