At Fahrney’s Pens, your satisfaction is important to us. We take pride in the quality of our writing instruments and want you to shop with confidence. — If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.

Returns & Exchange Eligibility

Items purchased on fahrneyspens.mom may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • Items are in unused, original condition
  • All original packaging, accessories, manuals, and documentation are included
  • The return is submitted through our Customer Portal within the return window
  • The item is not excluded under our non-returnable categories below

All returns are reviewed upon receipt. Refunds may be declined if items show signs of use, damage, alteration, or are otherwise not suitable for resale.

Please note: Fountain pens that have been inked are considered used and may not be eligible for return.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Personalized or engraved products
  • Items marked as Final Sale or clearance
  • Products that have been used, altered, or damaged after delivery

Personalized items are created specifically to your request and cannot be resold. Please review all customization details carefully before placing your order.

Personalized Products

Products that have been personalized cannot be returned.

There is a short window after placing your order where cancellation may be possible; however, this cannot be guaranteed. To request a cancellation, please contact Fahrney’s Customer Service by replying to your order confirmation email or by calling us at 1-800-624-7367.

Requesting a Return

All returns must be initiated through our Return Portal:

  1. Enter your order details
  2. Select the item(s) you wish to return
  3. Provide a reason for the return
  4. Upload photos if the item is damaged or defective
  5. Submit your request for review

Once approved, you will receive return instructions and a shipping label.

  • Customers who selected Checkout+ will receive a prepaid return label at no additional cost
  • Customers who did not select Checkout+ may purchase a return label through the portal

If your return is due to a defect or error, a prepaid label will be provided at no cost.

Package Protection (Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Orders)

For added peace of mind, we offer Checkout+ with Package Protection.

If your order is lost, damaged, or stolen and you purchased protection:

  1. Visit the Customer Portal
  2. Enter your order details
  3. Select Start a Claim

Once reviewed, claims are resolved with either:

  • A replacement item, or
  • A refund, based on your preference and availability

Refunds, Exchanges & Store Credit

  • Once your return is approved, you may choose one of the following:
  • Refund to your original payment method
  • Exchange for an item of equal value
  • Store credit issued as a digital gift card

Packaging & Shipping Your Return

To help ensure a smooth return process:

  • Use the provided return label
  • Include all original packaging and accessories
  • Do not write on or damage product packaging (boxes, tubes, etc.)
  • Reuse your original shipping box when possible

Fahrney’s Pens assumes responsibility for returned merchandise once it has been received at our facility. We are not responsible for loss or theft before items arrive.

Important Notes

  • Orders placed on fahrneyspens.mom must be returned directly to Fahrney’s Pens
  • Items should not be returned to manufacturers unless instructed
  • Purchases made through other retailers must follow their respective return policies

Warranty Returns

If your 30-day return window has passed, your item may still qualify for a manufacturer’s warranty claim.

Warranty coverage varies by brand and is typically handled directly by the manufacturer unless otherwise specified. Please refer to our Warranty Information page for details.

Processing Your Return

  • Returns are processed within 3–5 business days after receipt
  • Refunds may take up to 5 additional business days (or longer depending on your bank)
  • You will receive email confirmation once your refund is processed
