What is Checkout+ Package Protection?
Checkout+ is Fahrney's Pens' way of giving you peace of mind with every order. A package protection solution that helps cover your order in the event it is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, while also covering the cost of return shipping for standard returns and exchanges.
It is important to note that this service is not insurance and does not provide the same legal protections as an insurance product. It is a non-insurance service intended to offer peace of mind while your package is in transit.
How does Checkout+ Package Protection work?
If your protected order is lost, stolen, or arrives damaged, we’ll help ensure your order is replaced or refunded — whichever you prefer. Claims are handled quickly through our customer portal, with most requests reviewed within 1–2 business days.
Checkout+ is automatically added to your order at checkout if selected as your checkout option, but you may opt out at any time by selecting “Checkout without Free Returns & Package Protection” or toggling off the option in the checkout screen. Please note: if you opt out, Fahrney's Pens is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged orders, and return shipping costs will not be covered.

When Should I File a Claim?

Marked as Delivered (Stolen): Available to file within 30 days after the package was marked delivered.

Stuck in Transit (Lost): Available to file 7 days after the last tracking update.

Damaged in Transit: Available to file within 30 days of delivery. Photos of the packaging and product are strongly encouraged to help us review and process your claim efficiently

How Do I File a Claim for my Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Order?
If you selected Checkout+ at checkout, simply start a claim here through our customer portal and select the start a claim option. You’ll need your Fahrney's Pens order number and the email address used at purchase.
